Summertime is officially over now, but looking back this was the most fun summer with Holt yet. Holt loves to be in his party suit (aka naked). My mom told him it was his birthday suit and he got a little confused, now he wants to be in his "party suit" all the time. We have to hold the kid down to get clothes on him. Other than being au naturale Holt's favorite article of clothing are his hunting boots. The photos below are evidence of how little control we have over Holt's wardrobe anymore.

One of our big milestones this summer was learning to write several letters most importantly H,O,L and T. A, C, G, J, Q, and X have also been mastered. Letters requiring humps are proving more difficult. But we have the important one's down. Another something we are proud of is that Holt has most of his letter sounds down. He doesn't really understand sh or ch sounds, but if you ask him what something starts with he can tell you. He of course gets c and k confused, but for three that is not too shabby.

I fell off the chair laughing when I looked out the kitchen window and saw this sight.

The H o T and other scrawls in the corner are all Holt's creations. I wrote Irene's name, were were going to sign her birthday card, but lost interest when chalk wasn't involved.
