Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. You get to play dress up and eat lots of candy and it sort of kicks off the whole holiday season, what's not to love. I second Rob's stance that if you can't enjoy Halloween without worshiping satan then by all means abstain, but if it is just a fun day for dress up and free sugar, then have at it. Trick or treat Y'all.
Harper Ann LOVED her cow costume. I was worried she wouldn't like the headpiece, sometimes she is not a fan of things touching her face, well, actually most times. So, the night we brought it home I wanted to try it on her to see how it fit and see if she would actually wear it. She wouldn't let me take it off. I finally got it off and the next morning the first thing she did was bring me the cow skin saying "put on, put on." She wore that thing for two weeks straight.

I bought Holt the Indiana Jones box set this summer. We have watched those movies about 100 times now. So, it was no surprise to me when Holt said he wanted to be Indiana Jones for Halloween. I bought the hat, whip and satchel through amazon and we pieced together the rest. Holt only whipped himself in the face three times before he got the hang of things. Still, Harper Ann runs for shelter when Holt comes out with the whip.
This was one of Harper Ann's favorite things to do with her costume on; go to the mirror and wave at the cow.
This was taken at our church's Reformation Celebration. Harper Ann hogged (or cowed) the push car all night. If anyone made a move toward the car while she was taking a break this was the look she gave them. She is saying with her eyes, "I will cut you fool." or just. "Back off...fool." I'm certain that "fool" is in that look somewhere.
When we were getting down our Halloween decorations for the kitchen, Holt found his old spider-man costume and wanted to wear it. I knew we wouldn't make it through Halloween with just one costume.
I turned my back for two seconds and the candy bowl was MIA. I found Harper Ann in the living room working on her fine motor skills.
