A trip from an old and new friend

Some of our dearest friends from our three years in Oxford are Nicholas and Stephanie. They were actually the first friends I made in law school and the first couple we ever had over for dinner. They were both in my section and newlyweds like us. During our time in Oxford our friendship grew. They cooked meals for us after Holt was born and we enjoyed many cookouts together. It was very sad to see their uhaul all loaded down on graduation day ready for the long trip to Annapolis where Nicholas got a clerkship. I have enjoyed keeping in touch with them as they made their way from Annapolis to Baltimore and was so excited to find out that they were expecting last year. Stephanie and Jurian, their adorable little dividend, came to visit us in July (again, I know it is March, tee hee). Anyway, our camera was out of commission and I wasn't really thinking all that clearly, as it was July and our air conditioning had been out for 4 of the hottest days during the summer (all 100+, no joke). Well, when the air is out that long, on days that hot, the house takes a few days to cool down. Stephanie assured me that they were used to an 80 degree home, I on the other-hand was not. Thus, iphone pictures and naked babies. We did so enjoy the visit from them and Jurian was absolutely perfect the whole time. Next time we just hope they stay a little longer and bring Nicholas with them.

Holt was great, Harper Ann was a little skeptical

Harper Ann was far more interested in Stephanie and the Camera than the baby.
Doesn't Stephanie look great. I hate that my thoughts were overwhelmed by the heat and I didn't get any proper pictures. I guess that is what memory is for.
