A note of Thanks

A quick note on Thanksgiving 2010. Because sweet baby Houston was born so close to Thanksgiving and the new parents wanted to lay low and not make a trip to Sumner when he was so young, we were delighted to host Thanksgiving at our home so that everyone could come. It was last minute, but it was a wonderful experience having our family in our home giving thanks to our wonderful Maker for His blessings, especially the newest one, who did make an appearance afterall. I was pretty busy, so no pictures of the feast, but it was really a lot of fun for me to play grown-up and host a Thanksgiving meal.*

Why they never make them dress up like pilgrims I'll never figure out. I am starting a petition next year.

* I do have have to give credit where credit is due. While I did my part providing some food, Pam and Ma did the heavy lifting by bringing the turkey and dressing. We can fit an awful lot of people in our home when we need to.

Of course we enjoyed Thanksgiving supper down the street at Grandmama's house, and as usual it was full of sweet memories. Anytime Holt and Irene get together we have a blast. Mary and Harper Ann, while not as fast of friends are making great strides. I am thankful for all our little ones, and big ones too.
